Why Is Irfan Pathan not in the India squad for australia?

He's lost his quickness and accuracy as a bowler which is his main strength. His batting is ok but not good enough to merit a place in the Indian side. He was seen as the great hope of indian cricket with his all-round abilities and he started off really well with that ball that would viciously swing into the right hander but i'm not sure why he lost all his confidence. If he can get some of that pace and swing back, he would be an amazing et to this side at #7.
