Question about seeing death?

Okay, I can't get into too much detail, but through my profession I've become very apathetic about death. I saw a video today of Budd Dwyer, who commits suicide during a TV Press Event. If you really want to see it google Budd Dwyer the video is posted. But that's not why I'm here. I'm 24 and I've gotten to the point where death, suicide what have you doesn't even phase me anymore. I really realized it today, watching the video of Budd Dwyer shooting himself, I didn't even blink...has anyone else ever encountered this? Or am I just loosing any sense of compion towards people.
