Lower Right abdominal pain?

This morning when I woke up my whole stomach area hurt, just a dull ache. A few hours later now, it is mainly in the lower right abdomin. It hurts to walk. It hurts when I am actually sitting (shooting stabbing pains in what feels like my ocks area - raidiating to the front abdomin). My husband has been saying for a few days now that I feel very hot, but I am a smoker & when I try & take my temp orally I get 98.4-98.8. I have a few theories of my own here...but I am looking for advise. Thanks
